I had the privilege of working with Eve Greendale Photography a couple weeks ago. One of my very favorite clients, Sarah, gave me a call to do her hair and makeup for her maternity shoot!

I did Sarah’s hair for her wedding day, and she was such a pleasure! When she reached out to me for her maternity photos, I couldn’t wait to see her with her big beautiful belly! I had seen some social media pictures, but that’s definitely no comparison to real life!
Best Way to Bring out Natural Maternal Beauty
We had talked about doing a similar hair and makeup look for the shoot, as we did for the wedding. I was so glad we were going to be doing the shoot with her favorite photographer as well.
They started the shoot at Riverbend and ended it at the beautiful Jupiter Island. No 2 spots like it.

Hair and Makeup Details
In my experience, most women want a natural and soft look for their maternity photos. Sarah’s wedding day hair and makeup was very soft, with just a touch of glam!
I used The Nude Palette from Huda Beauty to accentuate her eyes. For light eyes, warm colors are always best!
Other products used on the eyes:
Lise Watier liquid matte finish eyeliner, Feline Eyeliner HD
MAC Extra Dimension Waterproof Mascara in Noir
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
MAC Fix Plus Setting Spray
I wanted to accentuate Sarah’s natural glow and add just a little bit of dewiness and bronze to her look.
A few things I used for the skin were:
MAC Lightening Fix Plus
MAC Strobe Cream
CHANEL Solei de tan
Makeup Forever HD
MAC Mineralize Powder in Medium Deep
MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty
MAC Hyperreal Glow
Beny Nye Final Seal Matte Makeup Sealer
Final Touches to Makeup:
At the end of the makeup application is always the lip products! I use 2 professional lines for all my favorite lip looks. We used one of my favorite color combinations:
Limecrime Velvetine Prairie
MAC Lipliner Whirl
MAC Dazzleglass

Sarah’s Updo
God bless, Sarah was really happy with her wedding day updo, so we wanted to do something similar but a little more of an undone look! Needless to say, we got it just right.
It’s summer, if you’re comfortable with the hair being up, DO IT UP! It’s hot out!
REPEAT AFTER ME…IT’S ALL ABOUT THE PREP!
For prepping her hair:
Paul Mitchell 1″ curling wand to make undone waves
OSIS Medium Hold Hairspray
OSIS texture powder
As a result of prepping the hair perfectly, I was able to easily start pinning!
Pinning up the hair I used:
Diane 2″ bobby pins
Kevin Murphy Bedroom Hair Texture Spray
OSIS Strong Hold Hairspray

Thank you so much Sarah, and best of luck! You already are and will continue to be the best mother a child could ask for!
