A little about Clare and Sebastian’s Polish Love Story

How I met Clare
When I met Clare, it was by referral of Jennifer Matteo Event Planning. Thank you, Jenn. As always, wedding planning game strong!
Clare had the sweetest smile and perfect skin! I was so excited when she came in for her trial. There is a gorgeous picture of Jenn and Clare posted below!
I had Clare come to Cat Pennenga Photography studio where I hold my makeup and hair trials. This was an excellent consultation. Like I will never stop saying, a consultation is so important!

Hair and makeup
Clare wanted a soft, smoky eye with shades of plums and neutrals. One of my favorite eyeshadows we used, Sketch by MAC, deep in the crease of the eyelid, was the plum tone.
I used MAC products for the eyes, cheeks, and lipliner. Jennifer Bradley 4 in 1 foundation glows and lasts beautifully. Lime Crime Velvetine lip gloss is fabulous for the base color of the lips that will last.
Clare had lash extensions, so we didn’t need the wispies! If you are a future bride thinking of wearing eyelash extensions, make sure you understand how to take care of them, and the importance of their upkeep.

Originally, Clare wanted to do a half up, half down hairstyle. On the day of her wedding, we did a bridal pony and opted for her hair to be out of her face. We could make this happen because I now knew her hair. I love when a client feels like they can trust me to switch it up!
A little story about Clare and Sebastian
Clare and Sebastian met in college both attending school at Wake Forest. They didn’t start dating until about 2 years later when Clare was in graduate school and Sebastian was living in Charlotte.
They broke up for a little bit when Sebastian moved to DC, but rekindled their love when he moved to Poland! Isn’t it beautiful the way things workout? Long distance love!
One weekend, Labor Day weekend of 2013, Sebastian flew Clare out to Poland, and they have been together ever since! They have now moved back to DC. “Timing can be everything. Sometimes people just need time to figure out who/what they want/need in their life. And when you figure it out, it just works out somehow, even when one of you lives in Poland!”- Clare

My team and I arrived on site at The Hyatt downtown Sarasota to get started on makeup and hair services for the beautiful bride and her party! They had their Sarasota wedding on a beautiful day in February. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Clare and Sebastian had their ceremony at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church. Gorgeous! They then had their wedding reception at Selby Gardens, a glorious venue!
On top of all that lucious greenery at Selby Gardens were the florals by Oh Darling Events! Anytime I hear that they are doing the same wedding as myself, I do a little dance of joy!
So Staged did the wedding decor and rentals beautifully. Michaels On East catered the food with class, and Affairs in the Air did the dreamy lighting and draping.
