The Pelican Club is a brand new beautiful wedding venue overlooking the Jupiter Lighthouse. Hair and Makeup of the Palm Beaches was blessed to do the hair and makeup for Pelican Club’s very first wedding!

Pelican Club first bride Tori

The Pelican Club wedding for Tori and Neal was a such a special experience. I was referred by my sister, who plays volleyball with both Tori and Neal.

The bride and groom are some seriously talented volleyball players. The Pelican Club wedding was special and like no other!

My brother-in-law was in charge of bringing multiple volleyballs to the wedding. I couldn’t wait to see what that was all about! More on that later.

Beauty Process Prior

Tori and I had a trial unlike most bridal trials that I’ve had before. Brides seeking a soft, natural, romantic style are drawn to my work.

Tori wanted an especially natural look. She is such a beautiful woman without a lot of makeup, and that’s what she is used to.

We went over a couple hairstyles. We started with a half-up half-down hairstyle, ended up with a textured ponytail, with a vine hair accessory.

I really feel strongly about adding in a hair accessory. I’ve had brides who get their florist to make things that match their bouquet for their hair.

You can go for the more expensive, like Ulyana Aster or Lia Terni, to the cheaper accessories you can find on Amazon.

Just A Tip

At a place like The Pelican Club in Jupiter, you are on the intracoastal for a lot of the time. Therefore, it’s best to have an updo so you don’t have to depend on the weather.

Unless you have really thick hair, lot’s of clip-ins, or a halo extension, it’s hard to keep your hair intact without tangling.

Trials are so important. Make sure and talk to the stylist before you meet them, to discuss what you need to bring to the trial.

You may be suprised! Updos are so elegant and beautiful.

The Pelican Club Bridal Suite

First off, I was astonished by the beautiful bridal suite. It provides a lot of space, brightness, and stations with mirrors to get ready.

Finishing up Tori’s makeup

One thing that a stylist loves when going on location for hair and makeup, is lots of space!

For example, when the photographer comes, they need space too to take pictures of details. At The Pelican Club, the photographer Karla Korn and I had no problems getting in each others way!

Classy Staff and Service Team

The lead Pelican Club’s bridal assistant was in town from New York to train other girls that were newly hired. And her service was flawless!

She was asking everyone what they needed and delivering on those needs, all day, without being overwhelming! Very professional crew!

I was able to speak with Karla Korn, the photographer, prior to the wedding. Fantastic work, great personality, and a cat lover like me! Does this Pelican Club wedding get any better?

One thing I really liked about the venue was the soft nautical vibe. It’s a modern nautical style, very open and bright. The backdrop of the intracoastal and the Jupiter Lighthouse makes for amazing photos!

Above and Beyond

All in all, Pelican Club went above and beyond. You can imagine that being the first bride can bring on a ton of nervousness. I just couldn’t believe how smooth everything went.

I had Tori and all of her bridal party ready early, so that stress was out of the way. It’s so important to follow the timeline that is given to you. All chaos breaks loose when you don’t have the bride ready in time for the first look!

I stayed and touched up Tori and her bridal party, and attended cocktail hour with my sister and other volleyball players I knew!

I left with a smile on my face, and the reminder of how much influence a great group of vendors, the sweetest bride, and the venue you choose, can make your day!

I look forward to many more Pelican Club Jupiter bride’s to come!
